SUNDAY BROOKLYN SUNDAY !
Today I met my friends Claire and Jeremie in Brooklyn after spending some time at the flea market with my little family…
Because I’m staying with them in Jersey City -even though it’s a 20 mn bus ride to Manhattan-, I’ve been on a slow pace these past few days.
That ended today with our combined red-head excited brains !
We explored Williamsburg and ran into lots of places and stuff I knew from the internet but not for real, which was unexpected and awesome.
I finally got to taste something from Whimsy&Spice, found at Radish (beautiful packaging there) !
They didn’t have any Earl Grey Sandwich Cookies so I got those, and they did not disappoint. The very present whisky flavour and unsweetened hazelnuts make for a really good grown-up cookie.
They also made me a bit fuzzy, because I’m a vvvery quick drunk and I got wwway too much heat today :)
Speaking of grown-up, I got myself a cheap ring that looks like an old family diamond ring (I hope), that I’m quite smitten with.
We went to the Mast Brothers chocolate factory, and I behaved.
We went to the Brooklyn Art Library, such a lovely place where I registered for the 2012 Sketchbook Project ! and recognized my poster on the wall, and then when I went to the bathroom, the corridor smelled like cocoa nibs from the Mast Brothers’ kitchen next door…
I got homemade gingerale and quesadillas from two different places, which both reminded me of Vancouver (Susa, if you read this…).
I’m sticky and sunburned and exhausted and happy.
I’m gonna jump into the shower and then eat some carrots and watch
True Blood, which I know nothing about.
(Oh, and we had breakfast at Baked !!)
